In order to be worthy to enter the temple we are interviewed by church leaders to confirm our worthiness. They ask a series of questions to determine your worthiness and one of them is “Do you pay a full tithe?”. If your answer is “no” then that can be a reason to find someone unworthy. Again, it is important to note that the temple is a very holy place and if you commit in life to return 10% of what you are given by Heavenly Father then you should do so always. You shouldn’t enter the temple with thoughts of doubt or remorse if you didn’t pay tithing or any number of other things. So, I can understand how a minister might think that latter-day saints need to pay to enter the temple.

Is this true? My in-laws are Mormon and I didn’t want to insult them by asking such an outrageous question.

But we know they still live and have the same personalities they had on earth. We don’t know if they want ordinances performed for them. We perform them and they are free to accept or reject them as they will.

What if they are already in paradise. How do you know? Do you ask them and how?

Have you read in the Bible where Saul talked to the dead and God punished him. When did God change his mind about talking to the dead.

In the chapel, patrons sit quietly and either meditate or read the scriptures, which are provided on the backs of the pews. Bibles are also found on all the tables in every waiting room and in the main foyer of the temple.
