Mormons do not practice polygamy and have not done so since 1890, when the practice was ended by a commandment from the Lord. Mormons who profess a belief in the practice of polygamy can be excommunicated. If your daughter is marrying a true member of the Mormon Church and not a member of a fundamentalist group calling themselves Mormons, you will not have to worry about her husband taking multiple wives.
