Mary, Mother of Jesus

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (frequently misnamed the “Mormon Church” in the media) teaches that Mary, the mother of Jesus was called among all women to be the mother of the Son of God. She was righteous and pure. She was loving and had the Spirit of God with her. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ media library is working on a huge project to produce short films documenting the life and teachings of the Savior. These are available, free of cost, to anyone who wishes to view or use them by visiting The Life of Jesus Christ: Bible Videos website.

This video, about Mary, shows that bearing the Son of God was a situation which brought lifelong trials as well as blessings. It is a strong reminder that motherhood is a great blessing, but involves such great love that there are sufferings and trials as well as great joy.
