LDS membres are great people, plus it is true that these things are not good to eat and/or use. In particular, how could somebody knew that tobacco was not good for men ? since even the medical doctors thoughts it was good. JS was a prophet of God :-)

I heard a preacher this morning on TV talking about Mormons are not Christians.

I am not a Mormon but I know better than that. I am a member of the Church of Christ and your plan of salvation is the same as ours. Our doctrine is somewhat differnt but we both beleive Jesus Christ is the son of God.

I hate to see untrue statments like that go with out rebutal.Your Church should speak out on a national level about statments such as that.

Yes, Mormons believe all of this, but that God the Father and Jesus Christ are separate beings. We do not believe that God the Father is a spirit who took on a body to come to earth as Jesus Christ.

Worthy men who hold the Melchizedek priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have the power to cast out devils as did the apostles of old. Sometimes, this does take place.

There is nothing in Mormon doctrine that promises us our own planet after we die.

The promise is essentially "eternal increase." "therefore shall they be from aeverlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then shall they be above all, because all things are subject unto them."

None of us really knows everything that being a co-heir with Christ means, because it is beyond our ability to understand while we live as mortals on earth.

Earthly ordinances help us on our journey to the presence of Heavenly Father and are outward demonstrations of the covenants we make with Him. When we are baptized, we take upon us the name of Christ and promise to keep His commandments. In return, the Lord joins us to the body of the Saints, gives us His spirit to be with us, and cleanses us from sin. These are not only part of our earthly journey, it takes a body to be baptized. After we leave this earth, we are spirits until we are resurrected. As spirits, we cannot be baptized.

No, it is not true. Mormons participate in modern medicine and will receive transplants if necessary.

In the Old Testament -- these are those who were carried away from the Northern kingdom of Israel by the Assyrians. The apocrypha gives more detail, that some of these people repented and therefore were separated and led away to a secret place by God. In the Bible it says that they will return so miraculously, that the Jews will cease referring to the deliverance from Egypt as God's great miracle and instead refer to this return. See the following:
I will say to the north, Give up, Isa. 43:6
These shall come from the north, Isa. 49:12 (1 Ne. 21:12).
Judah and Israel shall come together out of the land of the north, Jer. 3:18
The Lord liveth who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, Jer. 16:14–16
I will bring them from the north country, Jer. 31:8

Mitt Romney must make decisions regarding policy on what he believes is best for the American people. Having had some experience with state-support health care in Massachusetts and having surely studied the current federal administration's proposal for universal health care, he is developing his own plan. His religion can affect his desire to help the poor and the uninsured, but not his policy decisions.

It's always good to repent of one's sins, but only a very few people actually go to hell. Most will be saved into a kingdom of heaven. Be a great example of love and concern for both of your parents, and through your love and example help everyone in the family to grow a little closer to Christ every day.
