John,
Thanks for visiting our unofficial site. God hasn't stopped speaking to us any more than a loving father would stop speaking to His children at a certain point in their lives. He chooses, not us, when and how He speaks, and I testify to you, humbly, but in His name, that He continues to do so and that He Himself--not you or I--has provided a second witness to His divinity and the reality of His atonement, resurrection, and gospel plan, through the Book of Mormon.

To your second remark: Missionaries--elders and sisters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints--do, in fact, carry the Bible with them, along with the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price (other sacred volumes of scriptures.) They do carry extra copies of the Book of Mormon to share with those seeking truth who desire to read it and ask God if it is true.

God bless you in your spiritual journey.

Kind regards, Karen

God's word, the Holy Bible, plainly states that without the Spirit of Christ-[ the Holy Spirit ] we are none of His. In the book of Romans- chapter 10, it states that if we beleive on the Lord Jesus Christ,in our heart, beleive that He died for our sins, and beleive God raised Him from the dead, and confess Him as our Saviour before men, then we are saved. So according to this scripture, we are saved the moment we beleive on Christ, and confess Him as Lord and Saviour. We receive the Holy Ghost at this time. After this we are to be baptized as a witness to men that we are saved. [1st Peter 3:21 ]-------
---------Also, I notice that your missionaries do not carry the Holy Bible, but they carry the book of mormon. I strongly beleive this is unscriptural. In Revelations 22:18 as you probaly know, it plainly says, that if any man adds to the things in this book, God will add to him the plagues in this book, and if any man takes away from the things in this book, God shall take away his part from the book of life.and out of the Holy City, and from the things written in this book. I beleive that God gave His instructions to mankind about 2000 years ago, and anything man has added since then, such as the book of mormon, or anything else is against the Bible...

The articles on this website are written by Mormons who have the sincere desire to help others understand their religion. They don't work for the Church. They just do the best they can to help others understand.
